L45[03:59:32] <darsie> Wait, straight? In a straight line?
L46[04:02:30] <Mat2ch> I mean the full program. Fly to Eve, land, get some exercise down there by trying to jump, then back in the ship and return to Kerbin.
L47[04:02:39] <Mat2ch> After you've managed that, you can do everything.
L48[04:05:16] <darsie> Don't forget a ladder.
L49[04:05:48] <darsie> Does jetpack Isp/thrust change with pressure?
L50[04:11:24] <darsie> The dv map doesn't say the dv from Jool capture to Kerbin.
L51[04:17:10] <Mat2ch> what do you mean?
L52[04:21:51] <Eddi|zuHause> i would have assumed the dv map is symmetric (except for aerobreaking)
L53[04:22:12] <Mat2ch> it is
L54[04:27:22] <darsie> Say you're in a low, circular Kerbol orbit and burn prograde to a very high (far beyond Eeloo/Jool), elliptic orbit. That takes a lot of dv. At Ap you circularize and your orbital speed is now 100 m/s. If you now burn 100 m/s retrograde, you fall straight into Kerbol. dv to your previous elliptic orbit is e.g. 50 m/s, far less than it took you to get there from your low orbit.
L55[04:27:59] <darsie> From the high, circular orbit.
