L34[11:25:50] <ernos> hey I'm working on a
program to control an Extreme Reactors reactor. I'm currently
trying to read the level of each control rod, and the mod has a lua
function 'getControlRodLevel` which should take an integer to
specify a control rod, and returns an integer. However, when I do
'reactor:getControlRodLevel(1)', I get 'nil' and a java illegal
argument exception, 'Invalid Argument 0, expected Number'. I'm
confused as to why this is happening, as I am giving it a
L35[11:25:50] <ernos> number. I know
'reactor' is a working proxy for the reactor, because I can use
'component.methods()' to list all of the reactor's methods
L36[11:28:03] <Izzy> show code
L38[11:30:22] <ernos> admittedly I'm using
a prolly jank way of binding the component proxy, but it seems to
work so far
L39[11:30:41] <Izzy> try
reactor.getControlRodLevel(1)
L40[11:31:05] <Izzy> the : syntax means
pass the table you're operating on as the first argument to the
function
L41[11:31:35] <Izzy> ie, rather than a
number you're giving it the reactor proxy
L42[11:33:41] <ernos> ay that works,
thanks!

L53[13:23:47] <Amanda> @Mimiru What're
hosting provider are you using for your VPS wireguard thing? I'm
seriously considering something similar, because apparently my ipv6
changing now ignites my entire homelab on fire, so I'm leaning to
switching to a cheap VPS
L54[13:27:04] <stephan48> Amanda: i had
this issue with my k3s(or any k8s cluster really), i now assigned a
static ipv6 prefix to my cluster which i source NAT to either the
unique local address range or the global range which my provider
assigns me
L55[13:27:12] <stephan48> fucking hack job
but... hey it works
L56[13:27:35] <stephan48> (source nat
checks the target ip and chooses the right one then)
L57[13:28:10] <Amanda> Yeah, the other
thing I'm frustrated by is that I don't get the source IP thanks to
unifi changing shit
L58[13:28:40] <Amanda> Alex tried removing
the masqurade rules you mentioned are the problem, and apparently
that ignited his k8s cluster, it could no longer route shit
L59[13:29:57] <Amanda> So atm I'm thinking
a cheap-o vps with forgiving bandwidth pricing, and a haproxy +
tailscale connection
L60[13:30:21] <Amanda> Since everything I'm
interested in forwarding from the public should support some proxy
protocol

need to be aware of is that hoster ranges are often burned for
stuff like captchas and co.
L66[14:00:39] <stephan48> when i use my
