@Joco223 for your OC based crafting, what do you use to store your
items?
L100[10:15:55]
<Joco223>
Buffer chest
L101[10:16:05]
<Ben> so you
add the required materials by hand?
L102[10:16:15]
<Joco223>
No, it pulls them from the storage chests
L103[10:16:19]
<Joco223>
The double ones in the picture
L104[10:16:42]
<Ben> nvm,
havent noticed the screenshot on irc yesterday
L105[10:16:59]
<Ben> i
kinda want to write something that uses the crafttweaker
recipes
L106[10:17:07]
<Ben> but
stock is a problem, and keeping that sync ?
L107[10:17:15]
<Joco223>
yea
L108[10:17:20]
<Joco223> I
use my own format for recepies
L109[10:17:23]
<Joco223>
For example
L110[10:18:06]
<Joco223>
`Crafting Table,Oak Wood Planks,Oak Wood Planks,Empty,Oak Wood
Planks,Oak Wood Planks,Empty,Empty,Empty,Empty`
L111[10:18:26]
<Ben> thats
pretty close to the CT format
L112[10:19:41]
<Ben> few
years back ive made some market with enderio warehouse as stock and
that already took few seconds to sync for 300(?) slots
L113[10:21:44]
<Joco223> I
made mine pretty fast
L114[10:22:06]
<Joco223>
Since i have a separate program that maps where each item is and in
what chest it is in the system
L115[10:22:16]
<Joco223> So
each program doesn't need to scan trough all chests
L116[10:22:18]
<Ben> yea,
did cache the contest, too
L117[10:22:24]
<Ben> but
everytime you add/remove by hand it has to be synced
L118[10:22:41]
<Ben> could
use a bufferchest for input to handle imports
L119[10:22:51]
<Joco223>
Mine only needs to be synced if you add new items that aren't
anywhere in the system
L120[10:23:17]
<Joco223> I
have a program for sorting
L121[10:23:35]
<Joco223> It
sorts everything from an input chest and throws everything else
that is not in the system into another chest
L122[10:23:49]
<Joco223>
Only problem i am having is that itemducts from thermal expansion
are not that reliable
L123[10:23:56]
<Joco223>
Since they work on their own update cycle
L124[10:24:08]
<Ben>
reliable to transport stuff to the target chests?
L125[10:24:34]
<Ben> for my
shop i used enderchests to get stuff from one transposer to
another
L126[10:24:36]
<Joco223>
Transport stuff from the input chests to chests that are on top of
transposer, then transposers sort from those top chests
L127[10:24:44]
<Joco223>
Too expensive :b
L128[10:24:45]
<Ben> so i
was able to just use transposers for itemtransfer
L129[10:25:11]
<Ben>
rftools modular storage can also act like enderchest
L130[10:25:16]
<Ben> and is
afaik a bit cheaper
L131[10:26:57]
<Joco223>
How does it act like an enderchest?
L132[10:27:12]
<Ben>
requires a remote storage block where its linked to
L133[10:27:54]
<Ben> the
remote storage block holds the storage module, while the
"modular storage" blocks contain a linked card to that
remote block
L134[10:28:19]
<Ben> but
before the enderchests i've used minichests
L135[10:28:22]
<Ben> which
only had 1 slot
L136[10:28:29]
<Ben> so
they couldnt overflow with other items
L138[10:29:43]
<Ben> the
transposer in the front was connected to the warehouse and some
bufferchests, which where used to transfer stuff to the target
location
L139[10:34:58]
<Joco223>
Hmm
L140[10:35:06]
<Joco223>
Translocators might be pretty good for this
L141[10:36:52]
<Joco223>
Now this will be a lot cleaner what i have once OC and ProjectRed
start working together
L142[10:38:06]
<Ben> two
mods which made trouble in the past ?
L143[10:38:45]
<Ben> both

map a lot of times on the last server i've played

no, you cannot
L168[14:07:32]

L226[17:49:56] <AmandaC> O.o
L228[17:50:33] <AmandaC> I see. so, the
entire documentation in a single file.
L229[17:52:26] <ben_mkiv> could be nicely
put into github wiki :>
L230[17:52:33] <ben_mkiv> and still be
synced by cloning the wiki
L231[17:52:51] <ben_mkiv> anyways the
examples look awesome
L232[17:53:31] <ben_mkiv> is buffering a
feature i havent discovered yet or is it cheated by rendering out
of the viewport and moving the viewport when done?

Would anyone here be able to help me make sense of DU? My big
project is LuaDU, based off of NCrusesDU and for awhile I was at a
complete loss of how I would go about listing file sizes and such
until I remembered DU. I don't want to just copy DU, so I'm
wondering if I may be able to "optomize" it or such, and
make it my own.
