<Landar> Thanks for the response. I
looked at a tutorial on the steam turbine and it looks like I need
some pipes to run it? Are the pipes in Railcraft?
L4[14:31:50]
<Forecaster> it does not need pipes,
and railcraft doesn't have pipes
L5[14:31:56]
<Triaxx2> No, but you can use fluid
loader/unloaders, or build it up against the boiler.
L6[14:32:16]
<Forecaster> using carts would be way
too slow
L7[14:32:32]
<Forecaster> if you don't have a
mod that adds pipes your best bet is to just have it touch the
boiler
L8[14:32:51]
<Landar> So, let me ask then, is it
possible to play railcraft as a standalone mod without something
like Immersive Engineering or Buildcraft?
L9[14:33:17]
<Forecaster> ...by having the turbine
touch the boiler
L10[14:34:00]
<Landar> Is that also how we power the
rock crusher and the automatic rolling machine?
L11[14:34:08]
<Forecaster> no
L12[14:34:17]
<Forecaster> Railcraft has
cables.
L13[14:34:39]
<Landar> Oh, that's good to
know.
L14[14:38:48]
<CovertJaguar> But you can power them
by touch if you want
L15[14:42:03]
<Landar> I'm sorry to ask so
much, my experience is limited and mostly from 1.7.10. I'm
only seeing the charge shunting wire that looks like a
"cable."
L16[14:42:24]
<Landar> It appears I'm would set
up the Steam Turbine Housing up as a multiblock.
L17[14:42:49]
<Landar> That's going to make my
power for running the rock crusher and the powered rolling
machine.

Do I need to download something for JEI to show me the rolling

L45[19:06:30]
<Triaxx2> I mean... it's supposed
to change the direction. Unless it's flipping it so it's
only turning from the other side.
L46[19:06:34]
<texaswriter> I think JEI is a must
for a good modded experience
L47[19:08:47]
<texaswriter> Good wiki documentation
on mods tends to lag for awhile... like most FTB wikis are from
1.7.10 or earlier. If you are lucky, you might see mod content from
1.10... Maybe there is a better way of finding more recent content,
but I like to rely on mods with relatively stable feature sets
where the mod wki (if one exists) stays relatively relevant from
version to version (IC2 is pretty good at that)
L48[19:09:14]
<texaswriter> I've noticed that a
lot of the wikis have become more outdated on 1.12 then back on
1.7.10
L49[19:09:35]
<texaswriter> JEI can help you figure
out the order you need to build stuff without needing a
guide.

L62[19:18:04]
<Zomec>
The problem with the liquid cart detector is that you can only set
it to detect 1 item, I need it to detect atlest 2. So i hed to set
it back further to pull that off, and its too far back to give the
train time to turn
L63[19:18:13]
<FullMetalJuggernaut> For me, I just
like to set up tunnel bores in a direction and let them go
L64[19:18:50]
<Triaxx2> Advanced detector could
work. If it's an actual train you could just use the routing
detector and then a ticket in the locomotive.
L65[19:18:51]
<FullMetalJuggernaut> Also I use a
block replacement cart to replace the sides with glowstone
L66[19:21:24]
<FullMetalJuggernaut> oh how do I use
routing tickets?
L67[19:22:03]
<Triaxx2> Place the ticket in the slot
in the locomotive. Right click it in the air to set the
Dest=(destination)
L68[19:22:04]
<FullMetalJuggernaut> Do I need to
learn the syntax for those tickets?
L69[19:22:22]
<FullMetalJuggernaut> how to determine
the destination?
L70[19:22:25]
<Triaxx2> No, all tickets are
Dest=(name of destination)
L71[19:23:57]
<Triaxx2> You'll need a routing
Table, which looks like a blue book, and it has both a help section
as well as a blank page you can use to set conditions for the
signal to switch. Such as Name=, or Dest=
