L48[16:32:54] <Forec​aster> In VLC I had the preferred subtitle language set to `eng` because otherwise I have to manually activate subtitles on anime episodes where the subtitles don't have the forced flag set, but that also means if an episode of an english show has subtitles in english those will be on by default as well
L49[16:34:09] <Forec​aster> in MPV you can create profiles with certain settings, such as preferred subtitle language, and activate them in the start command, which works out great since my episode tracker runs a command to play the next episode
