L1[00:25:30] <Amanda> Why am I tired? I didn't wake up until 0830
L2[00:25:59] <Amanda> Also, oops, just restarted my Pda in the middle of my podcast

L5[00:53:39] <MichiBot> Amanda: I flipped a coin. It said "Aaaaaaaaah!". It might have been a sapient coin...
L6[00:54:00] <Amanda> It's probably just scared by ww3 happening out there
L7[00:54:07] <Amanda> I'll zzzmew, night girls
L8[01:22:46] <SoraFirestorm> it has been a while since I've been around... I see https://github.com/MightyPirates/OpenComputers/issues/3709 :C
L9[01:22:47] <MichiBot> Title: The future of OpenComputers 1? | Posted by: asiekierka | Posted: Tue Apr 16 18:55:34 UTC 2024 | Status: open
L10[01:24:38] <SoraFirestorm> I have a degree of curiosity... starting from the 1.16 port (because I'm assuming that gives me essentially free headway), _roughly_ what would need to be done to make the port happen?
L11[01:25:02] <SoraFirestorm> I missed some words
L12[01:25:08] <SoraFirestorm> 'make the port to 1.20' happen
L13[01:25:15] <SoraFirestorm> or even 1.21 potentially at this rate
L14[01:25:31] <NWBear> I have an open fork where I've started just that last night @SoraFirestorm
L15[01:25:43] <SoraFirestorm> I have good timing then
L16[01:25:58] <SoraFirestorm> like, I can't promise much because I don't do much Java or Scala
L17[01:26:40] <NWBear> A lot of it is going to be research to figure out what things do and figuring out how to do them now
L18[01:28:46] <SoraFirestorm> link?
L19[01:30:30] <NWBear> https://github.com/North-Western-Development/OpenComputers-1.20.1-port
L20[01:31:05] <NWBear> It's very early, a lot of time was spent just getting Gradle to sync for 1.20.1
L21[01:32:02] <NWBear> I have considered restarting the port though to port forward 1 version at a time because then there's more version to version change documentation available
L22[01:39:18] <NWBear> Think about it that actually is probably best...
L23[01:39:45] <NWBear> @SoraFirestorm would you have time to sit down in a VC and discuss?
L24[01:40:24] <NWBear> * Thinking about it that actually is probably best...
L25[01:41:12] <SoraFirestorm> I have basically 0 Minecraft modding skills so idk what discussing with me will get you lol
L26[01:42:02] <NWBear> 🤷‍♂️ sometimes just having someone who understands at least what I'm working on to talk to helps with stuff like this lol
L27[01:42:37] <NWBear> Plus I'd be willing to teach/coach you on what I know about the subject if you'd be willing to help on the project where you can in exchange.
L28[01:45:28] <NWBear> I love mcjty...

L30[01:49:09] <SoraFirestorm> suppose I could in like 10-15 if you really want
L31[01:51:43] <NWBear> Only if you're interested, I don't want to push you into it

L92[18:46:11] <Michiyo> I have no idea. What I do know, is that I have a VPS with a GT730 sitting somewhere in Texas, running Ubuntu 20.04, that I can't run stuff that needs GPU accel because I have no way to make X use the GPU while also giving me remote access.
L93[18:51:10] <Hawk777> Maybe x11rdp would work better? With that you set up a normal “physical” X server (showing on a screen and so on as usual) and then you get VNC access to that display.
