<S3> So,
you may be right about that. It could just be how that JNI wrapper
works for finding library calls. Anyways... I looked through the
glfw libraries function calls and include headers. There is no such
function for that. So, I was like ok.. I compiled the latest stable
version, 3.3.8 it doesn't have that function
L169[16:27:46]
<S3>
SOOOO... I checked the documentation again
L170[16:27:59]

<S3> There
must have been some sort of compatability need or something
L176[16:36:07]
<S3> Cool
so we can try that
L177[16:37:17]
<S3> Aha,
and that's where the segfault happens.

<S3> So it
loads now, but it segfaults with the non stable glfw
L179[16:37:33]
<S3>

<S3> And
like that now Minecraft 1.12.2 now works fine.

L185[17:19:36]

does, it packages the unstable, master branch git version
L186[17:19:45]
<S3> and
uses functions that aren't released yet
L187[17:20:16] <Amanda> so if they're
packing their own glfw why would it be crashing because a missing
function?
L188[17:20:29] <Amanda> ( "they"
being Mojang (
L189[17:23:03]
<S3> No no.
It's not that. Their version is segfaulting with not much help on
the error, so I forced it to use my system install glfw. That's
when I saw it was using api calls that didn't exist. So I sought
out the documentation on glfw's website. Turns out, the api calls
they are using aren't released yet. The latest version of glfw is
3.3.8, and the master git branch is unofficially referred to as 3.4
but it has no tag or anything... So... I buil
L190[17:23:04]
<S3> glfw
from git, confimed that the new build had the api calls I needed,
re ran Minecraft, and it just so turns out, I get the same segfault
