0 in some contexts. In some cases it's 1, in others it's a magic

L75[19:50:23]
<Cakesiree>
Oh yeah abt that, there is no config file
L76[19:50:38]
<Cakesiree>
I checked in the serverconfig in the world folder, and I even re
installed the mod in
L77[19:50:46]
<Cakesiree>
A config file wouldn’t load in for some reason
L78[19:52:35]
<BrisingrAerowing> I just checked in one
of my packs, it's not in the world folder.
L79[20:07:35]
<GigaChad>
So I have a question. How can one copy the OpenOS floppy to one
that isn't read only, then add an autorun file so I don't need a
hard drive for my program to run. It works in theory because I can
run the program off of a second floppy with the live environment of
the openos one. However every time I try to copy it over it wants
to skip files for some reason.
L80[20:10:36]
<Forecaster> why not install it to a
harddrive?
L81[20:11:34]
<GigaChad>
Well I had the idea of having my entire program suite on floppys
that autorun on a system without a hard drive. Really just a vibe
choice, no real purpose aside from that.
L82[20:12:05]
<GigaChad>
It would be better in every way to just have all of them loaded
onto a hard drive but I think having a stack of various floppies is
more fun.
L83[20:12:07]
<Forecaster> what files are being
skipped
L84[20:12:35]
<GigaChad>
folders, my bad. I can't copy over etc, lib, or usr.
L85[20:13:14]
<Forecaster> have you tried installing it
and then copying everything from the hdd to an empty disk?
L86[20:15:20]
<GigaChad>
I did, it was giving me the same problem. I can copy over the
entire file, as in like the ../mnt/227 and it will put the entire
contents into a new directory in that called 227, but I'm not sure
if it will seek and find the init.lua inside another file and not
the root. When I try to move them out of that and into the root I
also get said issue.
L87[20:17:54]
<GigaChad>
So I just tried and no, it does not see the file unless it is in
the root.
L88[20:18:21]
<GigaChad>
I can move the init.lua out and then respecify the location of the
boot files but after that I have no idea where to go.
L89[20:22:09]
<Forecaster> wait
L90[20:22:31]
<Forecaster> are you not copying the
OpenOS disk contents to the root of the new disk?
L91[20:22:36]
<Forecaster> what are you doing
exactly?
L92[20:24:46]
<GigaChad>
When I do copy -r [openos] [newdisk] it puts a folder in the new
disk that's named the same as the id of the openos disk. I don't
know how else to copy them. If I do it one by one only half of them
are actually moved.
L93[20:25:25]
<Forecaster> if you don't want to copy the
targeted directory you have to use a wildcard
L94[20:25:42]
<Forecaster> `cp -r /mnt/source/*
/mnt/destination/`
L95[20:26:58]
<GigaChad>
Doing that now.
L96[20:27:39]
<GigaChad>
I was not aware of that way of doing it.
L97[20:29:39]
<Forecaster> hm, seems certain files
aren't being copied like you said
L98[20:29:41]
<Forecaster> strange
L99[20:30:19]
<GigaChad>
When you group copy, it works evidently. But single directories
just sometimes don't.
