L160[21:04:19] <dequbed> @Molinko no, there isn't any such thing. To be blunt, oc2 is probably way too alpha grade software if you need a guide on how to replace a rootfs image in a jar. If you wait until we added something or other to add rootfs' from a data pack or some such you'll save yourself a *lot* of frustration.
L161[21:05:10] <dequbed> But if you still want to go have fun, the rootfs is in /generated/Image and /generated/rootfs.ext2
L162[21:05:22] <dequbed> "fun" that is.
L163[21:23:01] <dequbed> Reading that again that sounds gatekeepy as fuck which really wasn't the intention. Sorry. Let me try again.
L164[21:24:21] <Molinko> I appreciate the help. but yeah, it was a little gatekeepy :p
L165[21:24:21] <dequbed> @Molinko OC2 uses a musl-based buildroot rootfs which is stored in the sedna jar under /generated/rootfs.ext2 as ext2 file system. Bringing gmake on that would be a major hassle since you don't have a glibc, don't have libguile or any of the other dozen libs GNU make requires.
L166[21:24:45] <Molinko> shit
L167[21:25:34] <dequbed> But the main reason why I was a bit standoffish is why do you even want gmake on that? The only reason I could see is you want a build system and of that gmake is the last and least important part.
L168[21:25:48] <dequbed> And forget a buildchain on that, you do not have the storage capacity on OC2 disks.
L169[21:27:21] <Molinko> I guess i was short sighted.. i just wanted to be able to run a makefile for tools i import like say luarocks n such
L170[21:27:53] <dequbed> It just sounds to me like you're putting the horse before the cart and uh I have very bad experiences with half-knowledgeable people trying stuff that's going over their heads at the moment and then expect me to solve their problem for them. I don't have the energy for that.
L171[21:28:21] <dequbed> Not saying you are one of those people but you sounded like one and I have a bad reflex reaction to that, sorry
