Sorry @S3, I didn't see your messages. I was working on some server
issues ( finally got the main problems fixed, now need to add
additional security systems ), but I don't really understand mods
too well either. I know limited information on creating mods, and a
basic "summary" idea of how Forge itself works, but all I
know is if a mod looks cool, I download it and !!POOF!! it works.
lol.
L270[13:32:30] <S3> I remember writing up
mods for testing back in the days of modloader
L271[13:32:38] <Izaya> I remember when
having more than 20 mods was nigh impossible because they edited
the same classes
L272[13:32:46] <S3> I just used the jdk
and emacs and that was pretty much it
L273[13:33:09] <S3> and people were trying
to tell me you had to decompile MC in order to work against
it
L274[13:33:12] <S3> but that was
wrong
L275[13:33:37] <S3> said that obfuscation
would cause problems but you could call the functions as if they
were unobfuscated when they were still obfuscated right against the
jar
L276[13:34:50]
<coderboy14>
Honestly, I just hope running my server is that easy. lol. I never
had to do that, thankfully I am too young in this field to have
experienced that. Thank goodness for Forge providing a
"proxy" between mods and the SRC of Minecraft. Yah, I've
tried decompiling Minecraft, but the resource I downloaded, which
made everything more readable, I still didn't understand anything
because I was still learning Java at the time. You can still call
them
L277[13:34:50]
<coderboy14>
believe, but from what I understand, it basically just makes code
hard to read, removing human-friendly variable and function names,
etc.
L278[13:35:15] <S3> right. I would
decompile MC and then use it for reference, but I would compile
directly against the jar

L494[17:21:40] <AmandaC> Vexatos: I don't
think that works?
L495[17:21:46] <AmandaC> Or was that a
complaint
L496[17:21:50] <Vexatos> It doesn't
L497[17:21:52] <Vexatos> hence the
,______________,
L498[17:21:55]
<Forecaster>
Vexatos: maybe they're gold plated :P
L499[17:22:16] <Vexatos> @Forecaster the
vinyls? :P
L500[17:22:24]
<Forecaster>
the adapters
L501[17:22:32] <Vexatos> no they look
suuuper cheap
L502[17:23:06]
<Forecaster>
there's gold there, it's just invisible, and not in the
specification
L503[17:23:14]
<Forecaster>
it's only reflected in the price ;>
L504[17:23:36] <Vexatos> gold isn't that
expensive
L505[17:23:37] <vifino> Vexatos: the one
with the thicker longer center pin and a small pin off
center?
L506[17:23:45] <Vexatos>
"gold-plated" is literally dirt-cheap
L507[17:24:07] <Vexatos> vifino,
yuppers
L508[17:24:16]
<Forecaster>
but you can mark it up like crazy anyway because it's fancy
L509[17:24:17] <Vexatos> the one for the
REALLY old audio cables
L510[17:24:18] <vifino> don't have
any
L511[17:24:21] *
vifino runs
L512[17:24:58] <Vexatos> our record player
is from 198x where 3≤x≤9
L513[17:25:20] <Vexatos> vifino, you
should have replied with "I have never seen one of those"
:⁾
L514[17:25:36] <vifino> lol
L515[17:26:10] <vifino> buy the damn
plugs, Vexatos.
L516[17:26:31] <vifino> anyhow, gotta
sleep
L517[17:26:36] <vifino> nite, nerds.
L518[17:26:37] <Vexatos> not worth it
until I find someone to rent me good digitizing equipment
>_<
L519[17:26:58] <vifino> dacs, phono
preamps, etc?
L520[17:27:05] <vifino> definitly don't
have those.
L521[17:27:32] <AmandaC> I just hold my
phone up from across the room
L522[17:27:34] *
AmandaC flees
L523[17:28:17] <Vexatos> vifino, I don't
have a fancy adc so I'll have to either buy or rent one sooo
L524[17:45:15] <S3> Wow connected

L536[20:35:51] <Izaya> S3: I left BWM on
hardcore mode, fixed now, normal stuff should work normally
L539[20:36:11] <S3> the sun isn't working
:P
L540[20:36:21] <S3> It's broken
L541[20:37:32] <Izaya> yeah that's a thing
too
L542[20:37:37] <Izaya> I'm just gonna
remove BWM I think
L543[20:38:04] <S3> what is bwm?
L544[20:38:09] <Izaya> Better With
Mods
L545[20:38:15] <S3> also you have BOP but
it doesn't look like you turned it on?
L546[20:38:17] <S3> maybe I'm wrong
L547[20:38:30] <S3> also never heard of
BWM
L548[20:38:43] <Izaya> it implements a lot
of Better than Wolves
L549[20:38:47] <Izaya> including the
invasive changes
L550[20:38:57] <S3> Izaya: I don't care
too much if you have hardcore mode, I was just confused on wtf to
do :D
L551[20:39:14] <S3> I didn't know if it
was Mojang being assholes lol
L552[20:39:17] <Izaya> I'm not a fan of a
decent few of the changes and the config file doesn't work
properly
L553[20:39:27] <S3> couldn't even make an
axe heh
L554[20:39:44] <S3> and it kept saying
"recipe unlocked" I was like, Waitttt I have to unlock
things now?!
L555[20:39:55] <Izaya> That part is
Mojang.
L556[20:40:15] <S3> orlfy?
L557[20:40:16] <Izaya> There's also a
tutorial but I grabbed a mod to disable that.
L558[20:40:24] <S3> does it actually barre
you from making things you want?
L559[20:40:36] <Izaya> Nah when you make
stuff it unlocks it
L560[20:40:44] <S3> ah ok
L561[20:40:47] <S3> that would be so
annoying
L562[20:41:51] <Izaya> Did you put
anything significant in the world?
L563[20:43:46] <Izaya> I'll move it
instead of deleting it entirely and see what kinda world we end up
with
L564[20:43:50] <Izaya> seed was
